How to Set an Alarm on Your Huawei Band

Published in Huawei Band Alarms 4 mins read

Setting an alarm on your Huawei Band is a straightforward process, primarily managed through the Huawei Health app on your smartphone, but also sometimes directly from the band itself. This ensures you wake up on time or get important reminders throughout your day.

Setting a New Alarm via the Huawei Health App

The most common and feature-rich way to set an alarm for your Huawei Band is by using the companion Huawei Health app, which provides comprehensive control over your device's settings.

  1. Open the Huawei Health App: Launch the Huawei Health app on your paired smartphone.
  2. Navigate to Your Device: Tap on the "Devices" tab (or similar icon) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Your Huawei Band: From the list of paired devices, choose your specific Huawei Band model.
  4. Find the Alarm Option: Scroll down and tap on "Alarm" (or "Alarms") within your device settings.
  5. Add a New Alarm: Tap on "Add" or the "+" icon to create a new alarm entry.
  6. Configure Alarm Settings:
    • Set Time: Adjust the hour and minute to your desired alarm time.
    • Set Repetition: Choose how often the alarm should repeat. You can select specific days of the week (e.g., Monday-Friday, everyday, or custom days).
    • Label (Optional): Assign a descriptive name to your alarm, such as "Wake Up" or "Meeting Reminder," to easily identify its purpose.
    • Smart Alarm (if available): Some Huawei Bands offer a "Smart Alarm" feature that wakes you up within a pre-set window when you are in a lighter sleep stage, potentially making it easier to wake up.
  7. Save the Alarm: Tap "Save" or the checkmark icon to confirm your new alarm. The alarm will then sync to your Huawei Band.

Managing Existing Alarms

Once an alarm is set, you can easily modify its settings or remove it entirely. This can be done both from the Huawei Health app for comprehensive control or, for basic actions, directly on your Huawei Band.

On Your Huawei Band (Basic Management)

While setting new alarms is typically best done via the app, you can often view and perform basic management tasks for existing alarms directly on your Huawei Band:

  1. Access the Alarm List: Swipe on your band's screen until you find the "Alarm" app or icon. Tap on it to view your current alarms.
  2. Select an Alarm: Tap on an existing alarm from the list to view its details.
  3. Change Repetition: If you tap on an alarm, you'll have an option to change its settings. To adjust the repetition (e.g., which days it rings), scroll down through the available options. This allows you to modify the days the alarm is active.
  4. Delete an Alarm: To remove an alarm, navigate to the desired alarm's settings screen and tap on delete. This action will permanently remove the alarm from your band and the paired Huawei Health app.

Using the Huawei Health App (Comprehensive Management)

For more detailed management, including editing all alarm parameters, the Huawei Health app offers the most flexibility:

  1. Open the Huawei Health App and navigate to your band's Alarm section, following steps 1-4 from the "Setting a New Alarm" section above.
  2. Edit an Alarm: Tap on an existing alarm to modify its time, repetition, label, or Smart Alarm settings. Always remember to save your changes.
  3. Delete an Alarm: Swipe left on the alarm you wish to delete (on iOS) or tap and hold, then select "Delete" (on Android). Alternatively, look for a trash can icon to remove the alarm.
